In Red River you can be as active as you like, or just relax and enjoy watching the hummingbirds. Go hiking, mountain biking, or trail riding on any of the Carson National Forest's 138 trails. You can even take your bike up on the ski trail lifts and ride back down. There is excellent rock climbing, camping, fly fishing for native cutthroat trout, or horseback riding through alpine meadows carpeted with wildflowers. After your horse is bedded down for the night, enjoy a Cowboy Evening with barbecue and entertainment under the stars, and in July, it's time to RODEO! The Cowboys New Year Rodeo is a tradition not to be forgotten in the west.

Red River is located on Northern New Mexico's Enchanted Circle, which offers a breathtaking century bike, motorcycle or car ride from the mountains of Red River, through Angel Fire and onto the high desert plateau of historic Taos.

Stop in Taos for a walk through the historic district, where one of America's most famous art colonies was formed, and visited by the likes of Ansel Adams, Georgia O'Keeffe and D.H. Lawrence. Enjoy some world class art galleries, dining and shopping while in Taos, or take on the class III - V rapids of the Rio Grande in the Taos Gorge. Back on the Enchanted Circle, you wind through the foothills at San Cristobal and back up into the mountains through Questa, where you can stop to view two of New Mexico's Wild and Scenic Rivers meet.

And in the winter, bring the family for a great ski and snow boarding vacation. The Red River Ski Area can accommodate skiers and boarders of all skill levels. The lift capacity is 7,920 skiers per hour, which means more skiing and less waiting.

Prefer cross country skiing? The Enchanted Forest in Red River is the largest cross country ski area in New Mexico. The trails a groomed to suit classic and freestyle skiing, and you will of course enjoy spectacular mountain views along with beautiful forest trails.

You can bring your own or rent one. Snowmobile that is. Daily tours are provided on beautifully groomed trails.

Visitors to Red River find dozens of inviting shops and restaurants, and after the lifts close down, this little old mining town perks up. Late night revelers can two-step into the wee hours of the morning at Red River's wild-west saloons. Enjoy torch light parades down the Red River ski slopes most Saturday nights, plus a wide variety of activities year round, including the biggest little Mardi Gras celebration outside of New Orleans, and of course, spring break!

Privacy and Seclusion, Conveniently Located!
The Auslander Lodge and Condominiums is located right next to the Red River Ski Area, with several acres of beautiful secluded grounds under towering blue spruce trees for your enjoyment. The Auslander offers 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom condos each with fully equipped kitchens, including full size ranges and refrigerators, dish washers and microwaves, with dining areas, gas fireplaces, private balconies, cable TV, wireless internet and telephone. Other amenities offered are daily maid service, gas and charcoal grills, a clubhouse for groups, a playground, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, a dry sauna, and a coin laundry.

The 500 square foot one bedroom lofts are furnished with a queen size bed and one full size bath.

The Auslander offers two styles of 2 bedroom condos: One level condos have 1 1/2 baths. The Chaps 750 square foot split level layout has 2 bedrooms on the second level and 1 3/4 baths.

The 970 square foot one level 3 bedroom condos have 1 3/4 baths. Three bedroom split level loft units are 1292 square feet with 2 bedrooms on the first floor and 1 bedroom on the second level. There is a full bath on each level.

The four bedroom condos really make you feel like you are at home. With 1292 square feet, these split level units have 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs, with a full bath on each level.

Hot Tub
We encourage you to unwind in one of our soothing hot tubs and dry sauna. We offer an open air 7 foot octagon hot tub and a 7' x 14' glassed in hot tub. Towels are provided.

Deck Area
The decks are a nice place to gather with family and friends to have a picnic or socialize. Gas grills are provided in various locations. A playground,volleyball court and horseshoe pit are also available.

Club House
The club house is an excellent place for a large group of people to have a gathering. Private meetings, church groups, and reunions are most commonly held here.
