Angel Fire Getaway boasts a living room and kitchen which share a large fireplace, a roomy den and game room with a pool table. The home is equipped with CD player and two televisions, one a flat screen. There are two VCRs and a DVD player as well. Two of the bedrooms have private balconies, and there are decks on both the front and back of the home. The back deck is equipped with a barrel charcoal grill.

The large eat-in kitchen is fully equipped for most cooking, with a dishwasher, double ovens and a large microwave; a coffee maker, crock pot, toaster and a griddle. Dishes, pots and pans, silverware, baking dishes and cooking utensils are provided, but you may want to bring any special items you might need for favorite recipes. Linens are provided, and Angel Fire Getaway guests are also welcome to use the home's laundry room. Internet can be spotty in the mountains, but hi-speed wireless is available at numerous Angel Fire locations.

Spring brings the snow melt, swelling the rivers of Northern New Mexico. Nearby is some of the best white water rafting anywhere, with leisurely, 3 day rafting and camping trips available on the lazy Class II and III Chama River. Enjoy the multi-colored 200' high sandstone cliffs, rocks filled with petroglyphs and the big sky of Northern New Mexico. And for the experienced rafter, the Taos Box run's Class IV and V rapids might make you miss the spectacular scenery if you're not careful.

Spring melts into summer, and New Mexico's long, sunny days are perfect for hiking, mountain and road biking and riding hundreds of trails through the more than 1 1/2 million acres of the Carson National Forest which surrounds Angel Fire. Horseback riding is a natural here in New Mexico, and you can enjoy anything from an hour trail ride through Taos Pueblo land, to a week-long camping trip through Valle Vidal.
